Hempel Yacht participation at Crick Boat Show 2015

With reasonable weather over 26,000 visitors enjoyed this year’s 3-day Inland Waterways show at Crick.

Hempel were on hand to discuss a wide range of paint systems from topcoats to epoxy protection.
The main topic was how to best protect the underwater area and the steel shells in general.
We have noticed an ever-increasing interest in epoxy coatings grow over the last few years, from the shell builders, applicators and the general public.
Customers have been made more aware of alternatives to traditional blacking and a growing number are opting to have the hull blasted back to bare steel giving them the opportunity to apply the best protection possible.

With Hempadur 45143 we are able to offer a great solution and peace of mind to the boat owner.
One customer appeared on the stand this year, we had spoken to them 8 years ago.
He and his wife were in the middle of a self-build and after speaking to us opted to apply 5 coats of Hempadur themselves by brush and roller.
The extra effort was rewarded, when having lifted the boat recently to see that the coating was looking great and still offering overall protection.

Overall a great show for Hempel, we will definitely be back next year to give the show our full and continued support.
