This year the METSTRADE 2023 Boat Show welcomed a total of 1,540 exhibitors from 53 countries across 11 halls at Amsterdam RAI covering every facet of marine equipment, systems and materials. Three busy days from 15-17 November at RAI Amsterdam saw 28,900 visits registered by 18,630 unique visitors spanning 130 nationalities, so this was definitely the place to be for updates on the latest innovations, market developments and industry news.
The METSTRADE Theatre built on the success of its new hall 13 location from last year with a well-attended programme covering key issues of the day, including ICOMIA’s propulsion decarbonisation study. Alongside the Next Generation Propulsion Zone focused attention on climate-friendly solutions while the DAME Awards display showcased 53 marine equipment products demonstrating the benefits of total design practice.
The industry’s need to serve inclusivity and people and skills development were served in several ways, including an expanded Young Professionals Club with its METSTRADE Career Zone and the second consecutive Women in the Marine Industry event.
The Yacht team had three really busy and productive show days at the 35th edition of the METSTRADE.
Hempel stand in Hall 2 was a showcase of the complete product range for both PRO and DIY segment especially focusing on our best performing and sustainable antifouling solutions:
- Hempaguard X7 as a premium Superyachts antifouling protection, rewarded with Water Revolution Foundation sustainable solution certificate and included into the Metstrade Superyacht route
- Hempel’s Silic One a premium biocide free fouling release coating for DIY market, was definitely the main topic at Hempel stand, as the first revolutionary biocide-free technology based on silicone and hydrogel with a decade of proven track record, recognized as "best in test" in numerous independent boating magazines and satisfied boat owners
- Hempaspeed TF, a hard thin-film antifouling was also showcased within Hempel’s biocide-free range
This was a remarkable edition showcasing a lot of visitors during the three busy METSTRADE days. There was a huge interest for our biocide-free antifoulings Hempel’s Silic One and Hempaspeed TF.
